“`The Priest's Graveyard' is a philosophical thriller that follows the troubled lives of its two protagonists whose paths inevitably cross. Danny Hansen is a soul-scarred survivor of the Balkan War and is now a Roman Catholic Priest in the U.S. Renee Gilmore is prostitute and addict from a broken home. Both respond to their respective traumatic pasts by engaging in acts of vigilantism, which they feel are justified by their ends; bad people are no longer able to continue hurting good people.
This book is intense, thrilling and challenging. It messes with your mind and you're not sure what's right and what's wrong. How far would you go, rather, how far should you go, to stop someone from hurting someone else? At what point do you step back and say "that person is just going to have to suffer, I won't do anything to help them"? The end was a surprise to me. I did enjoy the book.”
“Ted does an excellent job of setting up the premise, location, and rationale for committing murder. Who could blame someone for wanting to rid the world of the scum at the bottom of the barrel of humanity? And yet, we too have those same murderous intentions. How effective are we at drawing the line between the two? That's the question the reader is asked to consider in The Priest's Graveyard.
I found this story to be compelling enough to keep me reading to the end, but something about the ending left me feeling flat. There was resolution and a wonderful theme, but no big bang that gave me the 'Oh Wow!' factor of some of Ted's other books. In other words, I've heard the message before and didn't feel the author's heart was 'all in' on this one. And that's okay. Some books are fun to read just because they are fun to read. ”
“Not so sure about the ending...”

It is by far my favorite. Read this after I read the lost books series, which is a complete turn around. But I decided about 3/4 of the way through the book that this was indeed my favorite. Cant wait to read Sanctuary!”

The main character, Father Danny Hansen is a vigilante and meets out his own justice to those who don't get taken care of by the law. He meets a girl named Renee Gilmore who also wants revenge on Jonathan Bourque and asks Danny for his help when she realizes what he really does. Interesting that it would be labeled like it was at the library!”
