The Candymakers is about four kids; Logan, the Candymaker's son, Miles, who claims he is allergic to rowboats and the color pink, Daisy, who can lift fifty pounds of taffy like a feather and Phillip, who wears a suit and carries around a suitcase.

It all starts out with Logan who has scars all over the left side of hk.is body because he wanted to get a toy truck from the hot chocolate fountain in the factory. Next is Miles, who one day is at the lake and sees a girl with a pink bow run into the lake and not come back out. That is why Miles claims to be allergic to row boats and the color pink. Now, Daisy was actually the girl that ran into the lake for spy training. Because she is a spy, she can lift fifty pounds of taffy. Last is Phillip, who's dad is trying to steal the secret ingredient and shut down the candy factory. It was Phillip's fault that Logan got those scars becasue it was his truck that fell in the fountain.

In the end, they have to team up for a candy contest and help Phillip with the harmonicandy, a real life working harmonica candy. At the end of the contest, Phillip's candy wins! Then, the Candymaker shows the kids what the secret ingredient is. It is actually them. There is a mirror at the bottom of the bucket for the secret ingredient so you can put yourself in the candy! At the end of the book, the kids all become best friends.
