Loved this book - especially interesting for history fans. I live in Tokyo now and this helped give me a better perspective on the issues facing the US in this era - how to handle the emperor, how to restructure the Japanese economy, the psychological implications on the people of Japan surrendering to foreigners ("endure the unendurable"), etc etc.
