The insights provided on children is really fascinating, apart from the general transactional analysis explanation. I believe every current and would be parents would do better by reading this book.

This book begins with a flawed premise and ends the same way. I'm NOT OK, and I really don't think YOU are either. If we were we wouldn't have the damn book in the first place. Let's get a grip and move away from this lemming's race to "self awarness". If we are searching for something, then we...

This was the other book written regarding transactional analysis that brought so much popularity to the movement, written around 1969. It may be worth reading instead of or in addition to Eric Berne's book. More research is needed. This book sold 15 million copies, vs Bernes which sold 5 million.

I read this many years ago but I still think it is helpful in understanding the way people deal with one another.

The main criticism of the book lies in the fact that it misrepresents by oversimplifying transactional analysis. It was my introduction to the subject and managed to get me thinking about many of the roles we choose.

This book begins with a flawed premise and ends the same way. I'm NOT OK, and I really don't think YOU are either. If we were we wouldn't have the damn book in the first place. Let's get a grip and move away from this lemming's race to "self awarness". If we are searching for something, then we obviously don't have it. Refusing to believe in ourselves is the fundamental problem facing us these days. But I think the cover is nice. I like the color orange.

Watered down Freud. Popular in the mid 70s. I would say that this book is ... OK.

I'm ok, you're ok. A nice attitude, only I don't really think you are ok, and I'm probably not either...

One of the earlist self-help books to hit the market. It was the talk of television and the coffee shop circuit. Still a worthwhile read.

I read this book several years ago (1980 ?) as part of a course i took while i was working at lawrence livermore lab. I found it to be of practical value in dealing with a variety of individuals. I need to revisit it to see if the techniques are of timeless significance
