“Marie does such a great job of telling women's stories. In this book she introduces two old friends who reconnect after being separated by life. Their respectives stories are like those of so many other women, and Marie tells it well. I enjoyed this story as much as the other three”

Madelyn and Tessa had been the best of friends until high school and then Madelyn quit school and left home to later become the wife of a Wall Street ponzi scheme guru. Madelyn is left with nothing when her husband is sent to jail. Her aunt dies and leaves her the cottage in New Bern CT where she had been raised. By returning to New Bern as this disgraced person she re-makes friends with Tessa and the ladies of the quilt shop.”
