Captivating plot with lots of twists and turns. The sci-fi aspect is terrific and the author keeps you guessing.

I needed a break from heavy, literary novels, so I picked up Bad Monkeys. A near-future mystery probably geared towards college students. Fun, for the most part. A fast read. The Organization eliminates evil Bad Monkeys from the world before they can hurt more people. Double agents, double crossings, who is in the ant farm? OMNES MUNDUM FACIMUS, the Organization's motto: We all make the world.

Loved the ending...I thought I had it figured out. I was wrong.

Really excellent thriller/sci-fi/horror/conspiracy theory type novel that seems like a cross between the writing of Philip K. Dick, Grant Morrison's The Invisibles, and the first Matrix movie. I really loved it, but I was really disappointed when I went back and read one of Matt Ruff's previous novels; Sewer Gas and Electric. I'm hoping he'll write more like this in the future.

This was one of my modern lit books, and I actually really enjoyed it.. I thought it was a little strange, but really cool the way it took a turn at the end

I had to read this book for my modern literature class, and I just couldn't put it down. I ended up reading it in two days.

Any book where the author cites the South Park Rainforest Schmainforest episode as inspiration has to be a keeper. A surreal satire of spy vs. spy literature. Think Christopher Moore interpreting Richard Littell. I read Sewer, Gas and Electric and Fool on the Hill by Ruff in the past and have a vague sense that I lent them out to friends who thought I was weird for recommending them.

I read this in a morning - meaning it is both an easy read as well as a gripping one. It packs a lot of action and twists into 230 pages.
