One of my favorite historical characters is Henry. The tragedy of his married life is humanized in this book, and his wives emerge as very distinct individuals.

A thorough and readable account of Henry VIII's wives. Like most of Alison Weir's nonfiction, this reads like a novel and I sympathised and loved each and every one of them. This book makes me curious to learn more about the two little known wives of Henry VIII, his third, Jane Seymour, and his fourth, Anne of Cleves.

VERY Informative sheds great light on the type of man Henry was and provides information on some of his lesser known wives.

Brilliant biography of six of the most interesting women in english history. Weir delivers a well rounded depiction of them all and on their relationship with Henry VIII. All though quite a long book I hardly noticed as I was enjoying it so much. I will def read more of Weir's books in the future.
