Trying to get your head around Hume? Well I definitely recommend this book, Stroud clearly explains not only the 'standard' approaches towards Hume's work but also explains how he crossed over into the realm of psychology. Stroud lays out that when looking at the mind as a machine, as Hume did, one can easily get caught up in the psychological business of explaining its mechanisms and workings. A great insight into Hume's work that offers more than any other standard text.
