  • “"You seek the stillness of your body like the earth seeks the rain."“Why you dress like boy?” Bushy brows wiggled above the dark eyes. “You no want Meko to see tits?” He wanted to take her in his arms, tell her he’d protect her from everything evil―real or imagined. If he took one step toward her now, she’d turn into the wildcat again, fight him with every ounce of her strength.”
  • “Once you've lost everything, you no longer care if you live or die.”
Francesca to Brown Wing after her fight with Black Bonnet.
