“Good book. Russell fully fleshes out all of her characters and makes them come alive, with all their virtues and their failings. The description of Dodge and the reckless, restless lives of its citizens and seasonal visitors appears to be fully researched. There was much of historical interest, as well, such as the state of dentistry in those post civil war days, especially as compared to the field of medicine, which was far more rudimentary at the time. ”
