“I am not a big mystery reader, but read this for a book club. It was a best seller, and I am confused as to why. The strong points are her detailed and accurate descriptions of the scientific methods for forensic investigation. The fiction writing, however, is over-wrought with needless and tedious detail. The characters are not developed or consistent. She is good at building suspense, but that's about the best I can say for this book.”
