  • Kale: Kale Allerion is the main character. She is the fabled Dragon Keeper. She is now married to Bardon.
  • Bardon: Bardon is a knight in service to Paladin. He is also Kale's husband.
  • Paladin: Represents Jesus. He is sickly now because the people of Amara have lost faith in him.
  • Regidor: A meech wizard. He is one of Kale's best friends. He is also married to Gilda.
  • Gilda: A meech dragon married to Regidor. She was trained by Risto though she has switched sides. She is still rather snooty and annoying and she kills things unnecessarily.
  • Sir Kemry: Kale's father. Dragon Keeper. Married to Lyll Allerion. Knight who was recently awakened after a long slumber induced by Risto.
  • Lyll Allerion: Kale's mother. Married to Sir Kemry. Wizard.
  • Leetu Bends: In the service of Paladin. Emerildian. Friends with a bisonbeck.
  • Gymn: One of Kale's minor dragons. Healing Dragon.
  • Metta: One of Kale's minor dragons. Singing Dragon.
  • Dibl: One of Kale's minor dragon. Fun-hearted and prankster dragon.
  • Ardeo: One of Kale's minor dragons. Light dragon.
