“Edward Said's thesis on the nature of the West and its misinterpretation of Islam, primarily with concern to Iran since the revolution. Said's style is more precise in this little volume as he demonstrates the lack of true journalistic integrity in the West, USA, and how the perception of truth is distorted to incorporate ones own failings in regard to a perceived but unreal threat. In these days this volume should be required reading for those who believe they are always right in matters of self belief, especially with the present situation with "evil" Iran - the majority are sleep walking into what they are being lead to believe in, and at the end they will have no one else to blame but themselves.
