One of the books that started my obsession to vampire fiction. I read it a long time ago and loved it. Looking back now, I think I prefer Shattered Mirror to this book, especially because I was never a big fan of the main character. But this book is special just because it was the start.

It's a good thing I didn't read this one first or I might have never read the others. A decent story idea, but it's clearly a first book. The writing is markedly different from her other works.
