“Oh how I love Vivian Vande Velde. This book is just...wonderful. Kerry, the main character, is brilliant. Ethan, the other main character/antagonist, is also brilliant. A fantastic anti-hero (or hey, you could probably go all out and call him a villain). The plot is good, with some twists you don't see coming. The only thing I could critique about Companions Of The Night is that it's awfully wordy at times, which sometimes makes it hard to follow. One of the. best. urban fantasy YA books. Ever.”

“Meh. I really wanted to like this book, but it was just so bland. Even the "exciting" parts weren't really all that exciting. It was an okay, quick read, but otherwise there just wasn't much to it.”

“This was probably my first introduction to vampires in literature as a young teen. It's a pretty good read, though I found myself a little disappointed in the length. There aren't many praises to sing about it, but I always found it to be a good quick read. It's certainly better than many other vampire books out there. ”
