Awesome book. Burke's incredible descriptive style places you right in the middle of bayous of Louisiana. You can feel the atmosphere, smell the air, hear the sounds & be right in the middle of the action along side Dave Robicheaux. This is the second in the Robicheaux series & really outshines the first novel(Neon Rain). The first novel was good, but this is a great novel. I cant wait to read the 3rd. James Lee Burke has quickly jumped to my favorite author list!
