“This is the sequel to the first book, "Abarat". I loved the first book so of course I had to read the second one! I loved it just as much as I loved the first one although I need to re-read this book because I hardly remember it :/ I need to find the third one (if there is one) so that I can continue enjoying the series :D”

“Not nearly as satisfying as the first book, partly because there's not a lot of story here, and not a lot of difference between this and the original. Still entertaining, but I hope to see an improvement in quality when the third book, "Absolute Midnight", is released, perhaps later this year.”

“Lovely story and characters. I think the concept of Abarat is one of the most original, and probably my favorite, fantasy lands. I'm really looking forward to reading the next book.”

“I've just finished reading Clive Barkers, second book of Abarat. They both where great books, full of strange creatures. Clive is a supurb artist and the books are full of his colorfull paintings.”
