Inspired me to get back to my Economics 101. A true masterpiece from a man who has seen so much from such a seat!! Must-have for both Economics and non-Economics readers who are interested in the issues.

I'm 102-pages into the book. It's slower reading thatn I'm used to. I find myself stopping every couple of paragraphs to integrate the details I'm told into information I think my brain stored decades ago. There's lots of new information I hadn't picked up elsewhere about Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter and Reagan. And to learn that Alan Greenspan dated Barbara Walters. I didn't have a clue. And I'm kind of surprised they didn't get married.

I though his analysis of the role of the fed, financial systems and markets was brilliant. I gained many insights into how the economy works. However, I think he becomes medioce when he starts talikng about general issues such as education. I tink he should have just concentrated to his area of expertise.

I enjoyed reading this insightful book, particularly the look into each of the presidencies Mr. Greenspan has worked with. I thought the financial histories of our country and others, as well as his reasoning for decisions he made were interesting.
