Iron Man does, and takes a small amount of heroes. Captain America takes the others aganist it. A war starts, and only one can win.”

I remember popping a boner for this when it first came out and as far as cross overs go, despite the much bigger more mature boner I have sustained (rhythm method) for Final Crisis, this is the crossover gold standard, every character is involved, but around one specific theme. You can pick up any issue and it will be the character reacting to his own thing. That was probably the best part in this W. Bush era comic-- what character believes in freedom and which one is a scum sucking neocon metaphor. The art is perfect, but the story, which has been crushed from 12 issues to seven, suffers with story points simply popping up without sufficient development. But I won't lie. I still masturbate to my Civil War #1. Regularly. And with passion. Its the progression that makes me shed a single tear.”

It's sheer terror for those of us who still believe in things like the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. If I didn't feel like I'd be cheating on Neil Gaiman, I'd say it's the best written, most important graphic novel I've ever read.”

The argument at the core of the story, whether or not superheroes should register with the government, divided the fandom in two, with legitimate arguments on both sides. The shocking ending is another fine example of how the writers at Marvel can still surprise us.”

This storyline is one of the reasons why DC Comics is going down the dumps. Marvel Civil War is a LOT better than DC's Infinite Crisis Comics. ”

However in the follow up to this i was disappointed with the direction they took with Capt. America. In My Opinion just poorly thought out.”
