“Interesting to hear Bono talk on several different topics. Great book if your
a U2 fan.”
“This is not a biography, it is a ongoing conversation between the man known as Bono and interviewer Michka Assayas. Bono calls it "stories to tell that are not songs". I love his honesty and unique storytelling.
A few of my favorite "Bonoisms" are:
"Religion often gets in the way of God."
"I'm a scribbling, cigar-smoking, wine-drinking, Bible-reading band man. A show-off (laughs)...who loves to paint pictures of what I can't see. A husband, father, friend of the poor and sometimes the rich. An activist traveling salesman of ideas. Chess player, part-time rock star, opera singer, in the loudest folk group in the world."
If you are a fan of Bono, u2, or social justice, this book may humor you.”
“I heart Bono. I think I would've enjoyed this more without Assayas' voice.”
