Years have gone by when Andrea finally sees Ben at the gravesite of her sister, Carolyn. Although Carolyn used drugs prior to meeting Ben, Ben is the reason she started back once he kidnapped their son and disappeared.

As days go by, Andrea becomes strongly attracted to her sister's ex-boyfriend. Her feelings are hard to deny, but forgiving him is harder, even though he proves he had just cause for his actions. As Andrea dares to explore her feelings for Ben, she must find it in her heart to not only forgive him, but trust him as well. In the meantime, Andrea becomes hell-bent on solving her sister's murder, ignorning the police who are convinced her sister is just another over-dosed drug statistic.

Ridley, weaved her story of murder, lies and love perfectly. The characters are memorable and the story flows with the ease of a seasoned writer. The ending will leave you turning pages as you desparately work to answer the classic question: "Who Did It."

Ridley's debut novel is definately a must read. If you have not picked-up a copy...do so, this is a page-turner!

Hooray for a book that knows exactly what it is! This is an unpretentious murder mystery/love story, set in my home town, full of believable characters just complicated enough to make them real. The plot engages you until the very last page and adresses real life delimmas both with wit and wisdom.

I'm looking forward to enjoying this author for years to come.

I read "Between Tears" in one sitting.I loved the characters and the book kept my interest right until the last page.Well done, Ms Ridley, you have a good future ahead of you.

Andrea, along with her desire to solve the murder of her sister, must also deal with the return of the man she blames for Caroline's death...the man who kidnapped Caroline's son... the man she is in love with. This suspense deals not only with the relationship of Benjamin and Andrea, but also deals with matters of faith and commitment. Is Andrea's faith strong enough to deal with the complications that loving Benjamin will bring?

Pamela Ridley has written a book that deals with complicated issues. BETWEEN TEARS features strong secondary characters as well as well-devoloped main characters.

Highly recommended for anyone who is a fan of mystery or romance fiction.
