The main characters of this book is Ian and kylie, Ian friends gave him a challenge to get with kylie and to get her to sleep with him in three weaks. The challenge was for him to be apart of this group they got at school for juniors and seniors. Ian thinks everything is going to go right cause he is use to geting his way.But everythings gose wrong when he write a letter to kylie and she writes back.The story took place in Detroit. My least favorite part in the story is how Ian wrote Kylie a letter to get her to write back and to show the letter to his friends for proof that she sex with him.”

This book was about a boy who wanted to get down with the coolest group in school, but he had to do some things before he could join, and one of them was to sleep with this girl named kylie in 3 weeks, but he couldn't fall for her and she wasn't attractive or anything. She had to fall for him. I think this a great book. When I was done I wanted to read more. I recommend this book to teens who like high school drama.”

Ian was a very popular student in his highschool but he wanted to be more popular he wanted to get in this click with them a group of kids. They told him in order for him to get in they was going to dare him to talk to this girl name kylie and date her and have sex with her then dump her and he would be a member of their click. But while he dates her he fell in love with her and she finds out the whole truth and she is really dissapointed of him she doesnt want to de him nomore. But Ian is going to try to ask her for forgiviness because he doesnt want to lose her.”

The book Played is a pretty good book. The book takes place Detroit, Michigan. The characters are senior’s at Cross High School. The book has many characters, but the main characters are Ian and Kylie. Ian is a popular player, and almost an FBI member (Freaky Boys Incorporated). Kylie is a “nobody.” She does not hang out with the popular kids, does not have many friends except a few, and is not the best looking. In order for Ian to become an FBI member, he needs to make Kylie fall in love with him.
My favorite part of the book is the talent show. Ian and a few other FBI members are amazing dancers and singers. The crowed goes crazy when Ian starts singing. He sings an R&B song solo. The adrenalin is rushing through everyone. The author describes how before they step on stage, the crowed roared, the music started beating loudly, and then they showed up on stage and started dancing with the students cheering.
I really did love this book, but the one thing I would have liked more of is the other friend’s thoughts. The reader only hears the thoughts of Ian and Kylie, not what the FBI members, or what her friends think.
I would recommend this book to people who like teenage ghetto love stories. People who would not like this book would be people that are not into love stories. It is kind of a chick-flick book, but the book does give Ian’s side of the story too.
Plenty of teenagers can connect to this book. Teenagers have either been played or have seen friends been played. Even if you have not been played to the extreme that this book takes it, you can still connect to it in some kind of way.

They have became more than friends only so Ian could have sex with her to get in this group with the popular boys at school. This is an awesome book! I would recommend this to all teenage girls.
