- Riley Blackthorne: Main character of the story. She is a 17 years old apprentice demon trapper, stubborn and brave. Daughter of the famous Paul Blackthorne a master demon trapper.
- Simon: Angelic apprentice, 20 years old, romantic interest of Riley.
- Beck: 22 years old demon trapper, who Riley had a crush when she was younger. He was Paul's apprentice and has a tendency to annoy Riley.
- Ori: Beautiful stranger, freelance demon hunter who helps Riley in times of need. The rest of his life is still a mystery.
- Master Harper: He is a senior master demon trapper, who likes to treat people like scum and drinks alot.
- Paul Blackthorne: Riley's father and a respected master demon trapper. Despised by Master Harper for unknown reasons.
- Carmela: She is the doctor/healer for the Guild.
- Peter: Riliey's best friend from school
- Jackson: A demon trapper.
- Roscoe: Owner of a porn shop and a demon trafficker.
- Stewart: A Master demon trapper.
- Mrs. Haggerty: Riley's new school teacher.
- Martha: Someone who helps Riley.
- Mortimer: A polite necromancer. Who becomes Riley's "friend", even though he tells her not to trust any necromancer including him.
- Lenny: A flashy necromancer.
- Morton: A demon trapper. Not to be confused with the necromancer Mortimer.
- Beck: Beck is that guy every girl loves and hates. He's a genuinely good man, but he's not always a nice one, and he's struggling with not just inner demons, but real ones too. His Georgia accent doesn't hurt, either.
- Riley: She's a stronger female protagonist than you would usually find in books about teenagers dealing with supernatural forces. I like that she has attitude, but she's still very vulnerable. It makes her easier to identify with and far more interesting to follow in the storyline.
- Collins: Add a description of this character.
- Lucifer: The devil.
- Mrs. Litinsky: Riley's elderly neighbor.

- Amy: Simon's sister.
