“This book picked the series right back up after the last book. Made me realize why I love this series so much. I cant wait for the next one.”Domenick armano wrote this review Thursday, October 31, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“So full of detailed characters, just as you'd expect from GRRM. Each subplot is thrilling in its own way and though the book is long and detailed, I seemed to finish it in a breeze! Can't get enough of this series!”Kelly F wrote this review Tuesday, October 29, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“So glad to have the 5 books finished so I can start to read something else finally. I liked this but didn't love it. Lots of scheming and not much action. The 4th and 5th books were going to be one but got too long so George RR Martin separated the characters, some in the 4th book and others in the 5th. I missed book 4's characters. ”Rosemary M. “Ahhhhh! “While "A Dance with Dragons" is a very well written book with superbly conceived characters and outstanding world-building, it - like "A Feast for Crows" - has a major flaw: Compared to the other three books it's almost boring.
It's almost like nothing happened. Don't get me wrong, there were quite a few things that happened but it felt like ... nothing at all.
I hope the next installment in the series will mark a return to form for Martin's writing.”
“Love this series cannot wait for next book. I am also a fan of the HBO series.”Lisa M wrote this review Tuesday, September 17, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“This was a more exciting read than the previous installment, though I maintain my opinion that Martin is making his life unnecessarily difficult by including so many subplots and POV characters. The writing is undeniably immersive, and the level of worldbuilding in evidence is some of the best I've ever seen. After five books, I grow tired of certain of his -isms, but I suppose it's useful for his writing to have its own signature, and I have to hand it to him for being able to get me to care enough to read this many volumes. It's still to early to say if the series will be satisfying in the end, but so far it's still keeping up its steam pretty well. ”Cody wrote this review Sunday, September 8, 2013.
