“This is not her best book, the only reason I kept reading was because of Ravyn. Susan was the reason I wanted to stop reading. How annoying can one person be? I like sarcasm, but she is a little too sarcastic and about every single thing, and not to mention negative and indulges in self pity, throughout the book. So, I just skipped her parts and that made the book good.”

Now she wroks for a small Seattle newspaper where she has been reduced to writting stories of the weird, vampires and aliens, after falling for a bogus story that destroyed her reputation.
Ravyn Kontis, were hunter, has been betrayed by those he loved. His heart has turned cold and he spends his time hunting and battleing the daimons.
In search of a story that will put her reputation back intact Susan follows a source to an animal center. Only to have the source spouting out nonsense about vampires. Despite having allergies the source talks her into adpoting a cat. But this is no ordinary cat. Susan discovers that the "nonsense" is true.
Susan causes feelings that Ravyn has never felt before. Together they must conquer the ultimate battle. One that can destroy both of theirworlds. ”
“Nice book. Not the best of sherrilyn Kenyon. But i liked reading of a were animal who turned into a dark hunter. Still i think it could have been more exciting. And for once she would chose a sexy girl and not an áverage' girl and a HOT guy....the woman are always average while the guys are hotties. Not that i mind the guys hotties but i want hottie girls too. ”

Just disappointed in Nick because I used to love his humor.”

I've been browsing some reviews and thought I might skip this one, but then again I'm the type who follows the series no matter what.
The plot seemed very ordinary, the story of loss and betrayal, how cruel the Fates are and all that, but as I read on, I can't help but add another star when Nick and Savitar appeared, they're the saving grace for me. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have given this a measly 2 stars. I didn't like Susan, I might've tolerated her in the end because she really has character, but surprisingly I never took a liking to her even though she's a journalist, and I do have a soft spot for journalists/writers in general.
What I admired in this book is the character construction, I've never read a Sherrilyn Kenyon novel that really defined a certain character. Although I didn't like Susan, I like the way her character was constructed, how she talked and acted, I could imagine her as someone's next door neighbor for that matter.
So back to Nick, I liked how he's feeling the ropes of being a newborn Dark-Hunter, it's a pity he has all this wrath and he didn't have an outlet. It's really understandable the way he's acting and it's only a matter of time before he and Acheron mend their fences. He did things on impulse, he's misguided and currently not trusted by his Squire friends, everything he did was justified but hopefully soon, he'll come around.”
“This book is thrilling, adorable, fantastic, emotional, sexy and carrying along. I felt, trempled and hoped for the heroes. I could never stop reading.
I have to say this to all the books from the Dark Hunter and Dream Hunter series.
Sherrilyn is my absolut favorite writer. She is amazing. I can´t get enough form here books.”
“Very good. Moved right along.”
