“I am honored to be the first one to read this book (on shelfari, that is).
My Review: Jason Ancona's first book is a success in my opinion. This book has plenty of humor and is enjoyable all the way through. I, especially, related to the characters because I have a couple nerd-like traits. Plus, I always wanted to have a club just like the C.Y.A when I was younger. As I read this book last night, I found myself not wanting to put it down. I wanted to keep reading until the end. As I read, I wanted more and more to become a member of the C.Y.A in my own high school. I wanted to go on the missions with the characters. I really enjoyed this book.
I am hoping there will be a second book to follow this one, and will definitely be on the look out for it.
Summary: The C.Y.A, or Covert Youth Agency, is out to save the students of Trenton High School. The three "secret agents" of the C.Y.A are Peter "Pi" Samuels, Delilah Lightman, and Ben "Tollhouse" Gaw. These three all have their own special talents that help them with their cases. Pi is the leader and the strategist, Lightman is the computer hacker prodigy, and Tollhouse is the people person and, most of the time, the field operative.
Together these three must find out the truth behind The Case of Tangled Love. Vera, who Pi has a major crush on, has contacted the C.Y.A and asked them to see if the rumors are true -- Did JackO, Vera's boyfriend, cheat on her at a party?
Note: The author, Jason Ancona, is a member on shelfari. ”
