  • Nilima: One woman who is obsessed with her widowhood! At times, she seems to lament her fate but never does she try and break away from the religious/societal shackles that bind her being. Yes, the society was harsh, but then if she was so in awe of Kamal, may be she could have taken a leaf or two out of her book. It might seem strange, but this was the character I liked the least in the book, the second being Ajit.
