As a single woman, I could relate to the world of Bridget Jones.... the sloth and the slumber, the drunken stupor and the endless smoking, the new resolutions and the past relationships .... Brilliantly written this book is an amazing insight into the heart, mind ... closet, cupboard, kitchen ......

What a disappointment this was! Fielding is still an excellent comedic author in my mind, but I couldn't even finish it properly. After 3 or so chapters I simply started skimming it for plot points, then waited for the film to be released and filled in the blanks that way. It just felt so...

This book had a slow start, and seemed too much like the first book. But it did pick up and take off. Just as funny as the other; I just don't understand what the title had to do with the book. I think Kate Winslet or Cate Blanchett would have been a better choice for Bridget in the movie.

Insecure woman looking for a man to make her life complete and realizes she got it all wrong after all? It's a tiresome cliche. I tried reading it but didn't want to finish it. Funny at times but just not my kind of book.

I don't know why I have read this and not the original.

Good sequel. Stayed true to Bridget and her craziness.
