Saki was one of the short story geniuses of the Edwardian period. He had this wonderful way of looking at the world around him and writing out in beautiful accuracy all the fears, social taboos, and strange problems the society around him had at the time. It remains ageless because so many of the struggles he writes about are not defined to anything more specific then the repetition of history itself.
