“This book did not change the way I feel about the gospel. In fact, knowing that Joseph had flaws made me appreciate him all the more. Just like anything else in history, the church (and the people who helped build it up) had to grow, had to make mistakes, and had to fail in order to learn. The image I came away with after reading this book is the image of watching a child learn to walk. They learn the basics, take a few shaky steps, fall down...then get back up and try again.”
“Does this book change the way anyone looks at the church? Do you not begin to questions the foundation it was built? Some issues in this book are upsetting.”
“I enjoyed this book. Well balanced. It give his biograph for a religoius point of view. How the church was built up and it grow. I thought this approch was better then just story of Joseph Smith. The church and Joseph are one and this book ties the story together in a well written style. ”
