“Cloudy With a Chance of Rain by Patricia Balentine is an engagingly intense story that is chucked full of realness. This novel follows the life and loves of Lanise Avery as she takes journeys down the "natural" course of her life.
Lanise Avery is a gorgeous, smart, determined and directed young lady who looks like a model. Following her "natural" path and her determination of finding a way to support herself without going to college, she takes a hand at modeling and it takes flight and soars. She meets and later marries Tyrese Langston; Record Producer that business is soaring as well. This is a power couple that is living life to the fullest.
This is until someone, some feelings, and some connections from her past rise up and knocks her flat. She makes choices based on circumstances that have presented themselves that she feels is the best for her or all that she can.
Ms. Balentine penned a novel that is full of successes, happiness, love and the pit falls of life while allowing the humanness to shine through. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and will be on the lookout for more by her.
