This was a delightful book. Bubbles is such a great character. She really shows her brains and her strength to those who doubt her. I can't wait to read the next one.

The best thing about this book was one line that went something like this:

"You better show me some respect. We hairdressers own four-hundred-dollar scissors that can cut your lips off."

Lots of fun! I loved Bubbles and Stiletto. I will definitely read the next in the series. I was not surprised to read in the acknowledgements that Evanovich mentored her on this first novel.

Very light and fluffy. Perfect airplane book -- I left it in the seatpocket for the next chick.

Bubbles Unbound is likeable but has many faults. The name of the main gal Bubbles Yablonsky for starters. Stupid name and it's supposed to be her real name. Secondly, she's a little too dumb for me. She could be a hairdresser, love makeup, and have more of a brain. She seems a little too stupid for someone who figures all this stuff out. Very pathetic in some ways. HOWEVER..still a cute story. Evanovich fans will enjoy the quirky aspects of the book including Bubbles's mother and her mother's friend. They are very much like grandma Mazer. The male characters aren't quite likable as of yet, one is nice and ugly and one is hot and a little too stuck on himself. The wacky antics of Bubbles and her family is enough to make me read the second in the series: Bubbles in Trouble but I'm hoping for some changes Strohmeyers' future attempts.

This book was so interesting because when you think of a hairdresser who looks like a barbie doll, you arent saying, "oh hey, there goes that intense reporter!" NO! For me, it really played up the whole, "you can be whatever you want to be" thing we hear from our parents when we are growing up. Bubbles Yablonsky=best mystery heroine EVER.

This book was good. Pretty funny for a first of a series. I plan to read more.

What a cute chick lit book. Even you are not from Eastern PA you cannot help but enjoy the likeable Bubbles. Everything she touches goes haywire. But you have to admire her spirit and willingness to to do something better with her life. I do have some concern over her clothing choices. But if you have the figure why not! A book not to be taken seriously but one to lighten your mood.
