This book is structured around the 10 illusions of mankind.

Each illusion was created to cover up the flaw in the previous illusion. At first I didn't understand that, but I realized that it's not in chronological order as such: It's not that humanity had illusion A in year X, and then in year Y humanity created illusion B, etc. It happens on a personal level and the decision can be as quick as a hummingbird's wings.

Sure, he talks to God, get past it. Very clever, yet it's the central premise of the book. I don't know if this a mockery of religion or just a very clever author. Either way, I'd rather read Michael Novak.
