• Candace Andrews: A thoroughly good girl, she meets Brian again when she seeks him out to do a "birthday tattoo" for her. They originally met through Candace's cousin Michelle, who dated him a while back. Dependent on her snobby family, Candace learns how to stand on her own as she realizes that if she doesn't, she may just lose the love of her life.
• Brian Ross: Owner of a tattoo parlour and Candace's secret crush since he dated her cousin. The rebellious black sheep of his family, he doesn't always get along with them. He often covers his own tattoos and takes out his piercings for family functions.
