I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to Loree Lough and her publisher for sending me a copy of "Maverick Heart" to review for them. I am truly grateful for this generosity. I really appreciate the time, effort and expense it takes to make a reviewer copy available to me.

Levee O'Reilly finds herself in dire straits after the murder of her husband, Liam, on the way to open a medical clinic in Mexico. Without family and money, she arrives in Eagle Pass, Texas and accepts the position of school teacher. Then begins building a new life with the lovely people in a new town. This especially includes prominent rancher, Dan Neville, with whom Levee may be able to find love.

For the most part, "Maverick Heart" by Loree Lough was an enjoyable novel. The story flowed well through the middle of the book, then seemed to try to cram too much into the final third of the novel, making it more difficult to adjust to the change of pace. But, overall, this was an enjoyable romantic adventure
