“I found this book to be disjointed and too much going on in it. The author really hit her stride in the second half of the book which helped pull it all together, but I had a really hard time just getting through the first half of the book. I think part of the problem was a lack of character development. So horrendous things were happening to people and I didn't care, because I didn't know them enough to care about them. I did like the fact that in the end, everything wasn't all tied up and tidy and there was a bit of a twist I wasn't expecting.”
