  “Summary: Ten Second Rain Showers is a collection of poetry written by children ranging grades 4-12. The poems come from children all over the country, and cover many topics and poetry styles.
  
  Reason: This book has great examples of poetry. The poems are relate-able for any student and I think children even as young as kindergarten would love hearing and reading these poems.
  
  Connection: I could use this poetry collection as an introduction to a poetry unit for almost any grade and age. There are great examples, and seeing that other students wrote poems could motivate other students to get their creative juices flowing. This also would be great to use as a daily read aloud. Either I as the teacher reads a poem every day, or the students take turns reading a poem every day.”
