Not the easiest book to read by any stretch, but it saw me through my divorce and through my bitterness towards life. Ultimately, it helped to cultivate (for me, at least) a more spiritually-based approach to life.

One of my favorite books. It not only got me to read everything she's written, pretty much, but plenty of other metaphysical/spiritual books.

What does it mean to love? Not trite platitudes but what does it really mean to love. And, why are we on the earth? Why were we born? What's it all about? Williamson's answers are the best going.

"A Return to Love" features Ms. Williamson's insights into "A Course in Miracles." It was beautiful, funny at times, and very, VERY insightful. Frankly, it was this book that inspired me to pick up a copy of "A Course in Miracles," which I am still reading, but I digress.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

This book shed light on my life, blessing me with tools to shape and change my perspective. I am more in control of life. I am more loving to myself and others. I am sincerely happy.
I recommend this book to anyone searching for answers, desperate to find joy and the ability to live their lives with integrity and peace.

Marianne breaks down the main ideas in "A Course on Miracles" in a way that is easy to comprehend and apply to our daily lives. I especially like the belief that each of us can become a miracle worker by being a conduit for the love that originates from God and unites all of us.
