I read this after re-reading "Kim", and I liked it a lot. It's modern, and it's by an actual Indian, and I sure learned a lot about saris and the buying and selling of them. It was a fairly "quiet" novel, and now and then I expected something melodramatically bad to happen to the main character, who was a rather downtrodden fellow, but to my relief, the author didn't let that hammer fall (would have been a big mistake).

Nice. I give it thumbs-up.

I expected much complicated story. It`s book without plot. But (always exist that `but` :) ) this book can help someone who don`t know how to start new life...
