  “I'd say that after Anthony Burgess, David Lodge is my favorite author. His books really strike a chord with me. My favorite David Lodge books are: How Far Can You Go?, Changing Places, & Small World. But they are all terrific reads.
  
  I'm not sure why I like his books so much. Okay, I'm catholic and male, but I am not British and I am not an academic - as his characters tend to be. Plus he is not of my generation, but from my father's generation. ”
