This book is a great example of why you shouldn't lie, and what the consequences of lying are. Which, by the way, are Not Good.

Katie is a popular girl in her small town of Eastport, which is known for it's quahogs (clams). She is...

I really liked this book. It's really funny. The main character, Katie, kind of reminds me of some people i know. In the story, Katie is a huge liar. She loves to lie. For starters, she's dating a football player, but at the same time, she's going out with someone else. She doesn't want to break up with either of them. Also, four years ago, she had a best friend named Tommy. They worked on the school newspaper together. Tommy learned that the Quahogs, the school's football team, cheated on their SAT's. Katie begged Tommy not to publish it since her boyfriend was on the team. He didn't listen to her and published it. That year, the team would've been the state champions 17 times if Tommy hadn't published the news. Someone spray painted "Tommy Sullivan is a freak" on the side of the gym. No one but Katie knew who did that. Tommy and his family left town. Now, a couple years later, Tommy came back. Katie thinks he's out for revenge and wants to find out who spray painted the words. Tommy follows her around and figures out all her lies. So now, after Tommy came back, she isn't interested in her boyfriends. She's interested in him. Katie tries to straighten out her lies, but makes a lot of mistakes. I would recommend this book to anyone who like a funny story. Katie's character is so...weird.
