i love the book. if you've seen the movie, but not read the book you need to. you'll laugh, cry, and wont be able to put it down.
isabella, i saw the movies, would you definately say the books are better? i found the movies a little too cheesey in some parts. and therefore am debating reading the books
The movies are very loosely based on the books. They are very different from the books. In my opinion, the books are MUCH better. About the only thing the books and the movies have in common are the titles and some of the character names.
The books are generally better than the movies but the movies are still good.
Yeah, the movies are kinda cheesy...the books are amazing! You should definitely read them. At least try the first one to see how you like it. After the second movie, though, the plots are pretty much all different from the books, just to warn you. They basically only keep names. Which I think is silly.
I read the books many years ago and loved the series. I recently watched the movies and really liked them, too. Maybe time had blurred my memory of the details of the books, I don't know. But at any rate they are good, heart-warming stories.
Didn't finish this book. Too sappy for me.
This book is up for grabs on fReado a book winning site with games... Do you think its worth my while?
Yes!!! You will love it if you are interested in Christian Historical Romances. You'll fall in love with the characters....trust me.
The books are WAY better than the movies. Frankly I think they ruined alot of the characters in the movies. We watched the movies as a family and my son keeps wanting to know what happened to the Missy's brothers way back in the second movie since they conveniently disappeared (along with the rest of the children in the books)
I totally agree with you. I n the movie they made the characters look weak and not as strongly grounded in God like they had in the book. It's too bad what they do to books in movies.............
