“A great read for anyone who lives in a condo or townhome with an association - and has had a complaint about one or more of their rules. This will make you think your association isn't that bad.”

“Starts off so good and ends SO poorly. Beginning is a creepy because you can just imagine if this happened to you--strapped financially to a house/neighborhood you hate. Then it just turns bizarre and stupid at the end.”

Yes | No“A horror novelist and his wife move to a gated community only to find a crazy/strict neighborhood association that is doing nasty things to the folks who don't follow the rules. The "Stepford" neighbors are quite entertaining, in a ghoulish sort of way. The ending was so-so, but I guess all the fun is in the getting there.”

“This is the fourth Bentley Little book I have read and must say that I was very disappointed. I can usually finish a Little book in about three days. I've been reading this one for months. The intensity of the story seems to be lacking compared to some of his other books.”

“A young couple is delighted when they are approved as tenants by the Association, an exclusive gated community, until they discover the hidden rules that govern their new community, any infraction of which could result in severe punishment--even death. This book snuck up on me and scared me as much as any of Stephen King's earlier books.”

“I loved this book! I live in a neighborhood with high association expectations and this was a great read to me! I actually gave it to my neighbor to read so this book has been a great laugh between us. I would read this book a second time.”
