“This is the first time I didn't finish reading a book. It was poorly written I didn't want to finish it just to get it over with. I'm gonna rest from this series for a bit and read other more interesting books, with a fresh storyline and creative plot, new characters, and a touch of something...”see full review » see other reviews »
“I was a little confused with this one at first. Leta is a Dream Hunter but has been in stasis for hundreds of years where she lay in weight for Dolor to gain his freedom. Now some stupid human has summoned him, not knowing it will mean his/or her death too! Idiot! Dolor God of Pain killed her husband and baby during the battle that almost killed her so she put herself in stasis to heal. Now she must find the subject of Dolor.
Once she finds the man she cannot believe the man wants nothing to do with the world, or anyone who's a part of it. This will be easier than she thought. She can use his anger to reign in Dolor.
But once she meets Aidan she cannot help but feel the sadness and loneliness of having no one in his life. The betrayal he feels is awful. Now Leta must use his emotions to fuel and defend herself.
She will call in her brother M'Adoc to help get her into his dreams so they can fight Dolor. But he warns her of the dangers. Will she loose the man she is starting to have feelings for. ”

“AWFUL - This epitomizes all that's bad about her books. Don't read it. Don't know if she wrote it as some sort of Christmas story for an anthology or what. Lack of character development and story development. YAWN through love scenes. repetitive, repetitive, repetitive. Did I mention repetitive? If I heard one more time about the guys rage at being betrayed etc. ....I seriously wonder how much this book company is paying the editor of her stories or if there was one for this book. Due to the redundancy alone, I bet 1/3 of the book could have been eliminated. ”ninetailedkat wrote this review Wednesday, August 14, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Pages and pages of repetitive whining that I could have done without.
Aidan is a successful actor whose family turned on him and he has since become a recluse believing that everyone he knows will betray him at some point.Granted, his brother did try to kill him and summoned the God of Pain to assassinate him but there is only so much whinging that I can take - get over yourself!
Leta has potential as a kick-ass heroine but the speed at which she falls for Aidan the whiner is unbelievable even for a paranormal romance - less than a day!
The villain isn't nearly as smarmy as he could have been and is dispatched quite easily.
On the whole, The Dream Hunter series is pretty lackluster compared to the Dark Hunters and add little to the overall story arc. ”
“Sooo this was definitely not my favorite book of the series. It wasnt terrible but the relationship between Aiden and Leta seemed VERY rushed and I really wasnt into the whole "celebrity" aspect of the story. Everyone gave terrible recommendations of this book and I can kind of understand why now. It wasnt as bad as I had expected but I dont see how their story will be relevant to the rest of the series. I could have easy skipped this book and not have missed out on anything. The other sad thing is that for the first time, a part of me was actually hoping the two main characters WOULDNT get together and that Leta would just die and leave Aiden to move on with his life. It also bothered me how easily Leta was able to kill the god of Pain. I think there should have been some kind if battle or even an explanation for how she killed him. I was just a bit disappointed with this book to be completely honest. Wasnt really worth reading this time. ”Sami :D wrote this review Sunday, January 13, 2013. “This was one quick story. Aidan was betrayed. Aidan fell in love and Aidan lost his girl. Girl dies. Girl came back. Marriage and baby, The end. ”KRISTY20 wrote this review Thursday, October 11, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Audio- It was so cheesy, so predictable, and ended with such a common resolution. So chewy sweet I think I got a cavity. 2.5 stars. I didn't hate it but it was just Meh for me.”Yodamom wrote this review Thursday, August 16, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's use of Greek Gods and Mythology in her stories. When a vengeful brother decides to take his anger out on his movie actor other brother Aiden , Godess Leta comes to the rescue. This was a great story that kept me wanting to know more about why Aiden is so angry and wont let anyone near him. I cant wait till the next Sherrilyn Kenyon book. ”P.Mitra wrote this review Tuesday, August 14, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“I really felt for both the main characters in this book. I liked that Kenyon had an movie star character. It was very good.”EsmeEames wrote this review Saturday, June 2, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
