“After the end of the last book I was really unsure of Brian's shift of the series toward the supernatural.....little did I know that I would be staying up until 5am to finish this book. It started off slow but after the first couple of chapters, you really get hooked. I think this was one of the most suspensful (and creepy) books in the Private series and I was really impressed at how well the author was able to transition the series from being primarily a mystery/suspense genre to a supernatural genre. Although some of the explanations of the past that tie to witchcraft don't really make sense, it is still one of the best books in the series. If you were skeptical (like super skeptical) about this book and were considering dropping the series (like I did), make your decision after you read this book because I know that my opinion has taken a complete 180. Enjoy! ;)
(sorry for any typos......this is me writing a review at 6 in the morning....after finishing the book)”
