To free herself from an upcoming arranged marriage, Claudia, the daughter of the Warden of Incarceron, a futuristic prison with a mind of its own, decides to help the young prisoner Finn escape.

  • Steel Wolves: A secret society of courtiers who wished to see an end to the Era play and the tyranny of the Havaarnas. They want Incarceron to be opened. The Steel Wolf symbol belonged to Lod Calliston who was found guilty of teason and was the first person to enter Incarceron a hundred and sixty years from the storyline.
  • The Implacable Ones: Also known as the Three Without Mercy, they are the blind women who pass justice in the City. They resemble The Fates from Greek Mythology with a spindle and thread that they cut.
