Great Science Fiction Thriller - was my first Crichton Book, so I'll be watching for more of his work in the future. After a delay at the beginning, the story takes off at a hectic pace, although occasionally this pace is stalled as the author felt the need to explain some of the technology over again.

    A strong 4/5 from me

If you want to read a fantastic, realistic thriller in the vein of Michael Crichton's early best work, please, for the love of God, stay far, far away from Prey.

Huge difference in opinion here...like between justin and ambur....I'm a Michael Crichton fan, too, and this was my favorite. Congo was my least favorite

Its a very fast-paced story... perfect recipe for a movie. The first 100 pages are a bit of a drag, but later it double-guesses you at every turn.

Did not love it. Crichton could have done so much better with the idea of nanotechnology. Definite slide from his classics like Sphere and Andromeda
