The story is true to life and that is the book's strength. The story is so strong and heart wrenching, it should have earned her 5 stars. Unfortunately, the sentence-by-sentence writing is pedantic and unpolished; the scene construction irregular and jumpy. The ending is a bit sloppy. I sympathisize with Ms. Mina' message. I will look at her later books to see if her craft improved. I hope it has. For now, I can't give this work more than 2 stars.
