    I would suggest that anyone that hasn't read this book, watch the dvd instead and get the book just to have, if you're a book lover like that. It's so much easier to understand when your listening and not having to read the words.

    This book has assisted me in changing certain aspects of my life for the positive. I didn't learn anything new but it just reminded me of what I already knew. What I learned from this book was to keep positive & not allow negatives to control my thoughts. I do NOT take every word of this book literally. I do not believe for instance that you make a memory board, paste pictures on it & they will miraculously come true, but I know for a proven fact if you put a memory board together, those items will come true. This is not because you pasted the pictures on it but because you gave those things deep thought & you look at it every day which causes you to more likely take action on acheiving those dreams. I think this book is great but you have to see the bigger picture in what they are saying to benefit from it.;

    Ask a question or start a discussion about this bookI started reading this with all earnestness at my command. But in no time it became clear that this book is a solid piece of junk. I wonder if the authors ever tried to find a bit more about the persons mentioned. For instance, mentioning Einstein simply reflects their outright ignorance. They use Einstein to show how his wishing to discover things actually helped him actualize these. Funnily enough, he spent several times more of his life desperately trying to prove things like Uncertainty Principle were wrong that did not materialize even after his death. And that sums it up.

    The only worse book I could think of compared to The Secret is The Secret of The Secret. If the first was a Mills and Boons science fiction, this happens to be a typical uneducated maid's thundering scientific rebuttal of mathematical justification of group theory for Grand Unification Theory. You say it doesn't make sense? You WISH, and it SHALL become true! That’s The Secret for you!!

    If you really want to read something that is helpful, I recommend How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie or Whale Done: The Power of Positive Relationships by Kenneth Blanchard, Thad Lacinak, Chuck Tompkins, Jim Ballard, Ken Blanchard, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho or Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach and Russell Munson. At least they make a lot more sense and are much more enjoyable.
