The contrast between Adams & Jefferson was my favorite part. That and Adams gratitude at the end of his life after all he had been through. McCullough is a master.

Not just an amazing man, but the woman behind this man is absolutely remarkable. Mr. and Mrs. Adams were fighting racism at a time when black slavery was an accepted way of life. It is disheartening that we are still fighting some of the same battles today. Separatism. Partisan politics. Hypocrisy in government. The goal of our founding fathers was to create a country governed by laws not men. I think we've gotten off track.

I find John Adams well written and a great read. A founding father that was brilliant beyond measure but fell to his need for acceptance of his brilliance. I find that Abagail is sometimes the rock of his life both public and private. I would love to know if she played a far greater role than we know.
